In an interview with The Sun, which was published Monday, Marcel the Capuchin Monkey’s trainer, Mike Morris, said it was despicable for David Schwimmer to be speaking ill of his co-star, especially since one of the capuchins he worked with passed away last year.
Morris went on to say that it was great during the first couple of episodes, but it seemed Schwimmer started getting bitter, and it made it harder to work with the monkeys.
Morris thinks that it’s pretty childish for Schwimmer to hold a grudge after all these years.
He also pointed out that one of the monkeys who played Marcel recently died of cancer and Schwimmer was speaking ill of the dead.
David Schwimmer low key sh*t all over Marcel the monkey during the #FriendsReunion (pun definitely intended), and the monkey's trainer is not happy about it. ? https://t.co/7gZVd56II0 pic.twitter.com/XyFpm04rz6— E! News (@enews) July 6, 2021
As for Schwimmer, who played Ross Gellar on the hit series, he said, “It was time for Marcel to f–k off.”
