Sgt. Pepper reunited with a lonely heart, and it’s a reunion that happened after a seven-year, thousand-mile separation.
A Yorkshire-Terrier mix named, Sargeant Pepper who had been reported missing from his Florida home in 2014, when the dog was six years old, has been returned to his owner on Wednesday in Michigan, according to the Eaton County Animal Control.
An unidentified person who wasn’t the owner claimed the dog from a ‘Found’ posting, animal control says.
Sargeant Pepper lived with a Michigan family for five years without knowing that he was microchipped or that his owner was looking for him.
