Anger and outrage from people in India and abroad after a 9-year-old black labrador named Bruno was beaten to death and hung by a fishhook by three juveniles in Trivandrum, Kerala, in India.
The hashtag #JusticeforBruno has started trending over demands for justice for the murder of the dog.
Internet users were left stunned speechless after a video showing the violent death of a dog at the hands of three men in Kerala’s Adimalathura went viral on social media.
The occurrence came to light after one of the labrador owners shared the video on his Facebook page.
In the offending video, which has now gone viral, Bruno can is seen thrashing in pain as they repeatedly beat him with sticks and bats with his neck tied to the hook of a boat’s fishing bait.
After killing him, his lifeless body was then thrown into the sea by the three persons.
The police, meanwhile, have arrested the three youths responsible, including a boy who is still a minor.
They have been indicted under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the Indian Penal Code section about the maiming of animals.
