A North Florida man was arrested and is facing charges ranging from criminal mischief, dealing of stolen property, and grand theft auto after Lake City police apprehended him for stealing a vehicle off a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dealership.

Timothy Wolfe, 50, went to the Lake City car dealership to trade his existing car for a new one.

When salespeople ran the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) of the car he brought in through their database, they discovered that Wolfe was trying to exchange the same car stolen from their lot three days prior.

Police said that Wolfe admitted to stealing the car, adding that the crime was captured on the car dealership’s surveillance camera system.
