A Florida man quietly planted a banana tree in a pothole-ridden road in Fort Myers in the middle of the night.
The tree was planted on Honda Drive in an industrial area in S. Fort Myers, where it’s very evident that potholes are a significant concern.
Scott Shein, who works in the industrial area, said he thought it was hilarious.
When employees from his company, SWFL RV Sales and Rentals, arrived at work on Friday morning, they knew immediately why the tree was there.
Bryan Raymond, who owns Progress and Pride Fitness, a business located on Honda, admitted that he planted the banana tree.
He’s grown frustrated with repeatedly having to fill in the holes in the street with cement, so he went for something different this time.
In the past, his security cameras have captured potholes on the road, swallowing up expensive Tesla cars and floodwaters, causing his dumpster to float away.
